Water of Life
'Water of LIfe' was commissioned by the Golisano Children's Hospital in Syracuse, NY. It is located in the chapel on the 12th floor, in the 'treehouse' section of the hospital. The objective was to achieve a waterfall, without water. We cast glass to look like falling water, employed a spotlight with rotator to create the effect of sunlight on rippling water, and have waterfall sounds playing behind the piece. This is the 'waterless water feature' concept.
This sculpture is approximately 10 feet tall, 6 feet wide, and 3 feet deep. It weighs about 900 lbs.
